Why GenadePro Exists
The local services market in the United Kingdom is worth billions of pounds annually. Most of that money still moves through informal channels. Cash in hand. Facebook recommendations. Classified ads. Word of mouth from a neighbour. None of these channels offer the person hiring any meaningful protection, and none of them work sustainably for the professional doing the work.
Platforms like Bark and Checkatrade attempted to solve parts of this problem. Bark became a lead generation machine that charges providers for access to enquiries whether or not those enquiries convert into paying bookings. Checkatrade became a directory that vets tradespeople but routes all transactions off-platform with no payment protection. Both platforms extract value from providers as their primary business model.
The client side is equally broken. Even on these platforms, once you find someone you still hand over cash before the job starts, with no formal recourse if the work is poor, incomplete, or causes damage. According to Which?, disputes with informally hired tradespeople are among the most difficult to resolve because there is no formal arrangement, payment trail, or accountability mechanism to reference.
GenadePro was built to solve both problems simultaneously. The platform holds client payments in escrow via Stripe until clients confirm job completion. Providers only pay a small transaction fee on confirmed, completed jobs. Every provider completes a five-stage verification process before being listed. And every Friday before noon, provider earnings land automatically in their bank account without them having to request, invoice, or chase anything.
This is not a complicated idea. It is just a fair one. And fair is what the UK local services market has been missing.
How We Got Here
Problem Identified
Favour identifies the dual-sided trust and cost problem in the UK local services market after seeing friends and family take repeated financial risks hiring unverified home service workers.
Product Development Begins
GenadePro is designed and developed by Favour, who handles UI/UX design, product strategy, and development oversight. The two-sided marketplace model, escrow flow, and five-stage verification process are built from scratch.
Live on iOS and Android
GenadePro launches on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. The first verified providers in Glasgow are onboarded. First client bookings are processed through Stripe escrow.

GenadePro surpasses 60 verified providers across the UK and processes over £10,000 in total bookings. Accepted into the Techscaler programme. Full GTM strategy deployed.
UK Expansion Underway
GenadePro begins its national UK expansion beyond Glasgow. New city landing pages, Google Ads, Meta Ads, and SEO foundations deployed. Provider and client acquisition accelerating.

Favour is the founder and CEO of GenadePro and the driving force behind everything the platform has built and continues to build. Based in Glasgow, Scotland, Favour bootstrapped GenadePro alongside a full-time role as a Google Ads Specialist, bringing a rare combination of paid acquisition expertise, product thinking, and hands-on design to a problem that most people in the market had simply accepted as unsolvable.
His background spans Google Ads strategy, Growth Product Management, and UI/UX design. He designed the GenadePro app interface himself and built the digital infrastructure that supports its marketing, SEO, paid acquisition, and content operations. Every major product and go-to-market decision at GenadePro traces back to him directly.
Favour built GenadePro on a conviction that the right structure for a local services marketplace is one where financial incentives are properly aligned. When providers only pay on completed jobs, they are motivated to complete jobs well. When clients only release funds on confirmed satisfaction, they have genuine leverage to ensure quality. When the platform only earns on successful transactions, its incentive is to maximise successful transactions for everyone.
Outside of GenadePro, Favour maintains his expertise in paid media and growth strategy, bringing agency-level knowledge of digital acquisition to a platform that is entirely bootstrapped. He is a member of Techscaler, Scotland’s national startup scaleup programme, and an active participant in the Glasgow tech and entrepreneurship community.
