Why GenadePro Exists
The local services market in the United Kingdom is worth billions of pounds annually. Most of that money still moves through informal channels. Cash in hand. Facebook recommendations. Classified ads. Word of mouth from a neighbour. None of these channels offer the person hiring any meaningful protection, and none of them work sustainably for the professional doing the work.
Platforms like Bark and Checkatrade attempted to solve parts of this problem. Bark became a lead generation machine that charges providers for access to enquiries whether or not those enquiries convert into paying bookings. Checkatrade became a directory that vets tradespeople but routes all transactions off-platform with no payment protection. Both platforms extract value from providers as their primary business model.
The client side is equally broken. Even on these platforms, once you find someone you still hand over cash before the job starts, with no formal recourse if the work is poor, incomplete, or causes damage. Disputes with informally hired service workers are among the most difficult to resolve because there is no formal arrangement, payment trail, or accountability mechanism to reference.
GenadePro was built to solve both problems at the same time. The platform holds client payments in escrow via Stripe until clients confirm job completion. Providers only pay a small transaction fee on confirmed, completed jobs. Every provider completes a five-stage verification process before being listed. And every Friday before noon, provider earnings land automatically in their bank account without them having to request, invoice, or chase anything.
GenadePro was built on personal funds by Favour, who continues to bootstrap the company while running its full operations. This is not a platform built with other people’s money and then optimised under pressure to return it. It is a platform built to last, with a business model that aligns incentives correctly from the ground up. Based in Glasgow, Scotland, Favour bootstrapped GenadePro entirely from personal funds alongside a full-time role as a Google Ads Specialist. That combination of paid acquisition expertise, product thinking, and hands-on design gave GenadePro something that most venture-backed startups spend years trying to reverse-engineer: financial discipline by default.
His background spans Google Ads strategy, Growth Product Management, and UI/UX design. He designed the GenadePro app interface himself and built the full digital infrastructure that supports its marketing, SEO, paid acquisition, and content operations.
